Cinemas / Museums:

Curve – The Curve Venue is a visually superb building that is relatively new to Leicester City. It has a State of the art theater, that holds a huge variety of live concerts and shows.

Showcase – Showcase is Leicesters main cinema. Located underneath the Highcross shopping center it is only a 10 min walk from Leicester train station. They have 12 screens along with a bar and a cafe within the cinema.

Jewry War Museum –  The Jewry War Museum holds a vast amount of Leicesters past from Prehistoric times until the Medieval period. It has a unique collection of Roman Armor along with rare Medieval glass ware and beautifully painted Mosaics.

New Walk Museum – Leicester museum is a fun day out for all ages. There will be something for everyone when visiting the museum, with exhibitions ranging from a huge collection of Dinosaur remains to Artwork of all styles .

Highcross Leicester – Highcross shopping Centre based in the heart of the city is home to a huge range of brand name and independent retailers. So whatever your style or whichever gift you may be looking for you’ll be sure to find it in the Highcross. The center also has a number of cafes and eateries.

Parks:

 Abbey Park – Situated in the heart of Leicester Abbey park has beautiful grounds ideal for an afternoon stroll. There are also a number of children’s play areas along with a cafe in the center of the park. The park is also host to a number of events during the year including Bonfire displays, Funfairs and Christmas events.

Victoria Park – Victoria park is known for being the venue of the yearly Caribbean Carnival, it also has some great events throughout the year including live music concerts, Circuses  and a variety of Funfairs. The park also offers sporting facilities including a Basketball court a Football court and a Skate park.

Watermead Country park – Watermead country park is a very popular destination for both dog walkers and family picnics. With great wildlife within the park as well as a nature trail for the youngsters Watermead is an idyllic location for all ages.
