Hamilton gardens is in an electrol ward and an administrative division of the city of Leicester. It comprises with the north east western suburbs of Humberstone, Humberstone gardens and Netherhall.
The ward takes its name from the historical village of Humberstone along with the modern housing estate of Hamilton.
Hamilton was named after a deserted medieval village in the parish of Barkby Thorpe just outside of Leicester.
