Moving house with electronics can be a real task, even if you are just moving round the corner let alone to another city or in to storage facilities. Packing your electrical equipment can be a trouble some task sorting out the wires and cables, not as easy as packing clothing or bedding for your move.

However if you do have the original packaging that the electronics came in when you first bought it use these boxes as they will fit in perfectly. Many moving firms will supply you with any specialist removal type boxes you will need to pack your electronic equipment safely. This is the safest and most efficient way of packing your electricals, like your plasma t.v, computer, stereo system, speakers etc. When moving house with electronics you will need to pack them in double walled boxes these boxes are deigned to be strong as they have a double cardboard layer for extra protection.

Try not to leave the packing until the last minute. leaving it till the last minute when you are in a rush and your belongings are being moved by the removal team it is easy to not pack your electronic devices correctly, which could result in them being damaged when being moved by the removal team.

Removal all CDs, DVDs and tapes from their machine to avoid damaging the laser beam in your DVD player or computer, put these items into a clear bag and place into the correct box, if your machine has a remote control wrap it in some bubble wrap to avoid scratches then place this into the box with the correct device.
